If the Trento Festival of Economics focuses on the younger generation, the Fuori Festival responds with an even more packed programme targeting young people, families, students, and curious members of the public who wish to better understand the present and navigate the future.
At a time marked by economic, social, and technological upheaval, and by a sense of uncertainty that weighs heavily on everyone’s lives - young people in particular - spaces of open discussion are more valuable than ever. Just like the Festival with its academic programme, the Fuori Festival also aims to serve as a guide: a vibrant space for dialogue and reflection where the complexity of the world is not simplified, but made accessible through talks, workshops, and performances, blending education with intelligent entertainment. Entrepreneurs, creative people, researchers, communicators, and leading figures in contemporary culture will take the stage to share their experiences, explaining how work, technology, and lifestyles are evolving. There will also be events on social economy, financial education, the world of work for Gen Z, well-being, and sustainability. Over 150 events where you can follow the Visionaries, learn about Key Concepts, explore the Business World, discover the Social Economy, enjoy live shows and quality entertainment, and much more.
SCIENTIFIC DISSEMINATION
The goal of the scientific outreach panels, featuring some of the most authoritative and widely followed voices, is to bring the major themes of research and innovation to a broad and diverse audience. Mario Tozzi, a senior researcher at CNR (Italy’s National Research Council) and science communicator, a familiar face on Italian science television, will draw on his ability to explain the relationship between economics and ecology. Gabriella Greison, a physicist and storyteller of quantum mechanics on stages across Europe, will explain how physics can help us understand finance. Dario Bressanini, one of Italy’s most popular chemists and science communicators - renowned for his critical analyses on nutrition and pseudoscience - will tackle the sensitive issue of obesity treatments, which is closely connected to the quality of life of millions of people in Italy.
FINANCIAL EDUCATION, THE CHANGING WORLD OF WORK, AND CORPORATE COMMUNICATION
As usual, there will be a strong focus on financial education: the project Young Finance is back, designed by Il Sole 24 ORE to introduce young people to money management, investing, and planning for their financial future. Aminata Gabriella Fall, financial educator and consultant, founder of pecuniami, will also be speaking on financial education. Regarding the labour market and the new generations, the professionals from L’Esperto Risponde of Il Sole 24 ORE Group will guide the audience through opportunities, start-up incentives, and the strategic use of social media as a promotional tool. There is also room for corporate communication: in a constantly evolving market, branding becomes a competitive lever and a narrative for the future. Among others, Stefania Siani, CEO and COO of Serviceplan Italia, will tell this story through experiences ranging from the industry to the media sectors.
SOCIAL ECONOMY...
One of the most significant strands of Fuori Festival will be dedicated to social economy: sessions where speakers will help the audience reflect on how the economy can serve as a tool to regenerate communities and build new forms of social cohesion. Discussions will cover rights, community-based welfare, and international cooperation. These topics will be dealt with through a variety of perspectives and experiences that reflect the Festival’s deepest purpose: exploring the field of economy in all its forms, capturing its complexity without sacrificing practicality.
Finally, the programme extends to celebrating diversity as a resource and as a key to understanding contemporary complexity. Luca Trapanese, writer, activist, and social entrepreneur, will lead a discussion on the topics of parenting, inclusion, and new family structures by sharing his experience as a single father to a daughter with Down’s syndrome.
… AND CULTURE.
There will also be a focus on culture and literature, and their relationship with young people, who are the true protagonists of this edition. Edoardo Prati, a student and content creator with millions of followers, represents a generation of storytellers capable of bringing young people closer to classics and culture through contemporary languages and formats. Yet culture is also about aesthetics, creativity, and economic value. This is the heart of the "Economy of Beauty" initiatives, led by HTSI Director Nicoletta Polla Mattiot, who this year will examine how new cultures, artistic languages, and emerging sensibilities - represented by the talents of content creator Martina Levato and trapper Villabanks - produce new value.
Finally, Fuori Festival 2026 turns its attention to the cultural and creative industries, with a focus on cinema: special guest will be Aurelio De Laurentiis, one of the leading figures in the Italian film industry.
LIFESTYLES, HEALTH, AND WELL-BEING
Nowadays, discussing the economy increasingly involves talking about quality of life and lifestyles. That is why 24 ORE Salute, the Il Sole 24 Ore Group’s initiative dedicated to health and medicine, is also participating in Fuori Festival with events covering topics such as biological rhythms and their impact on personal performance, daily habits for a healthy lifestyle, and the growth and development of children and teenagers. Alongside Radio 24 journalist Nicoletta Carbone, there will be experts such as Roberto Manfredini from the University of Ferrara, a researcher specialising in chronobiology and circadian medicine; Stefano Rossi, a psychopedagogue and one of the most authoritative voices in Italian pedagogy; and Mike Maric, a doctor, former world freediving champion, and science communicator on breath and performance. All of them will bring these topics to the stage across four fascinating sessions.
THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE AT MUSE
In a Festival aimed at young people, there is a strong focus on education thanks to the renewed partnership with MUSE - the Science Museum of Trento, whose facilities will be opened to children, young people, and families for workshops, play sessions, and interactive activities dedicated to science, creativity, economics, and sustainability. Three days of events and activities, taking place both indoors and in the green spaces of MUSE Park, made possible thanks to the support of Fondazione Caritro and Feduf, the Foundation for Financial Education and Saving, which will help children reflect on their relationship with money, think about saving and work, with a particular focus on gender equality. Just like last year, the comic book discovery event is back with illustrator and cartoonist Danilo Barozzi. Yet this year it will take place in a completely new setting: the rich programme curated by the Andromeda art studio - a long-standing partner of the event - is moving to the green surroundings of MUSE.
THE GREAT EVENTS OF FUORI FESTIVAL: CLASSICAL MUSIC, POP, COMEDY
A focus on cultural expressions underpins the usual, packed programme of evening events dedicated to music and performing arts, designed to foster dialogue between experiences and generations. There will be a spotlight on classical music: Maestro Uto Ughi will return, and young emerging talents will take to the stage, such as the Cello Generation ensemble and the Twin Violins, Mirko and Valerio Lucia - musicians who represent a new generation that combines technique, energy, and vision.
Alongside classical music, the program also embraces popular and contemporary pop music, featuring Arisa, one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters in the Italian music scene in recent years, and singer Angelica Bove, a breakthrough artist of the latest Sanremo (Italy’s most famous annual music festival).
Finally, live entertainment continues with theatre and comedy shows, thanks to a collaboration with Zelig Lab, one of the leading comedy labs in Italy. The star of the prime-time slot is Stefano Belisari, also known to the general public as Elio, interviewed by Giancarlo Bozzo, one of the key figures behind the historic Milanese project, in a spectacular show accompanied by the piano music of Alberto Tafuri. The second evening features a comedy marathon starring Federico Basso, Nuzzo Di Biase, Federica Ferrero, Leonardo Manera, and Francesco Migliazza, skilfully hosted by Davide Paniate.
IL SOLE 24 ORE GROUP AT THE FESTIVAL: EVENTS AND NEWS
Fuori Festival also provides an opportunity to meet and interact with all the publications and media outlets of Il Sole 24 ORE Group, which will relocate to Trento to report on the Festival from the ground and host live events.
This year, the beating heart of all the activity of Il Sole 24 ORE Group will be Piazza Fiera, which will host Radio 24, the Fuori Festival Lounge, and Casa Sole.
Radio 24’s studio stage unveils a completely new look, hosting live broadcasts and programmes with the network’s most popular presenters. From 6:30 to 7:30 PM, the live podcasts of 24Ore Podcast will also take shape, bringing one of the most innovative forms of contemporary journalism to the stage through productions by Radio 24 and Il Sole 24 ORE. Live events will also be featured: a performance by the duo Off Topic, a set by the tribute rock band Ciappter Ileven, and the DJ set on Saturday, May 23, which will close the evening events of Fuori Festival.
Radio 24 is also moving to the theatre with “No place is far”, starring Giampaolo Musumeci and Beppe Salmetti - a must-see show. There’s also great anticipation for Giuseppe Cruciani and David Parenzo in a discussion on the future of podcasts with Fedez and Mr Marra.
The Fuori Festival Lounge, instead, will be the place where some of the main events of Fuori Festival will be held.
Finally, in Piazza Fiera, Casa Sole will be launched, a space designed as a hub to meet and have dialogue with the public. Casa Sole will be a space where you can get to know and meet all the organizations of Il Sole 24ORE Group, which will be in Trento for the first time with its new brand identity, inaugurated with the new naming that puts ‘Il Sole’ (the sun) at the centre, and a new logo highlighting the history, identity, and diversity within Il Sole 24 ORE Group. A space where visitors can join engagement initiatives designed specifically for readers: from the Sole prize wheel to the L’Esperto Risponde box, and gadgets created for the Opinion Reader community - the dedicated readers of Il Sole 24 ORE, who will once again gather in Piazza Pasi for the morning press review with the newspaper’s Deputy Editors.
New this year is also the presence of IlSole24OreTV, which will closely cover events, sessions, and key figures of the Festival and Fuori Festival, extending the program beyond the stages and venues with continuous video storytelling through live coverage, backstage insights, and feature stories, combining original formats and dedicated content.
INCONTRI CON L’AUTORE
One of the programmes most appreciated by the public is "Incontri con l’Autore" (Meet the Author), a special forum to discuss books, ideas, and current affairs, which in 2026 will once again host some of the most authoritative voices in journalism, economics, personal finance, and culture, thanks to a renewed partnership with several Italian publishers. Among the protagonists are Claudio Cerasa and Mario Calabresi; Franco Gabrielli and Carlo Bonini; Giovanni Bazoli and Tommaso Arenare, Andrea Colamedici and Marianna Aprile, Mariangela Pira and Serena Mazzini, Massimo Scaglioni, Linus and Massimo Beduschi, Luca Mari, the French-Indian economist Navi Radjou, and the booktoker Megi Bulla.
THE POWER OF AN INTERNATIONAL STORY: MEDIA PARTNERSHIPS
Ideas that gain strength from the quality of what they offer and the power of their storytelling. In this context, the work of all media partners is essential: both in Italy and abroad, they help further enhance the Festival’s reputation. These include the Dutch daily De Telegraaf; the Spanish El Economista; the British Financial Times; the platform LinkedIn News; the Danish daily Politiken; Sky TG24; the Japanese daily Yomiuri Shimbun; and the Chinese Wenhui Daily.

Among them are several partners who will be organising events that will further expand the already rich programme of activities around the city and at some Festival venues.

Meanwhile, the Department of Public Administration, in collaboration with Invitalia, will showcase key projects aimed at making public administration a true ally to citizens and businesses, appealing to new generations, and capable of tackling both today’s and tomorrow’s challenges: digitalising of the one-stop desks for business permits and building permits, simplifying administrative procedures, and reforming the public sector workforce through strategic, skills-based human resource management. Finally, JEEP® will be in Piazza Fiera and Piazza Battisti with its models on display. Among the events taking place at various Festival venues, Autostrade per l’Italia will present the exhibition “Italy on the Move: Motorways and the Future”, curated by MAXXI – National Museum of 21st-Century Arts. ITAS Mutua, through the insights of expert communicators, will guide the audience in a discussion on the value of financial, insurance, and pension education, helping them identify reliable information in a world that talks a lot about money, often without the proper foundations. The event organised by DLA Piper, focusing on exports, tariffs, and new global balances, as well as the most effective commercial and legal strategies for businesses, will also return. Unieuro will be there with an initiative dedicated to the young people involved in the project #cuoriconnessi, which for 10 years has been a leading voice in promoting responsible use of the internet and technology and fighting cyberbullying. Veolia, on the other hand, will emphasise the need to make environmental safety a shared priority among all stakeholders in order to forge concrete alliances capable of combating climate change and ensuring a sustainable future. In this scenario, engaging new generations is crucial to speed up a change in which digital innovation supports human capital and its skills as drivers of transition. Poltrona Frau will be a partner of the Festival, contributing to the setting up of the main rooms with twelve iconic ‘Intervista’ armchairs, designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli and covered in Frau® Leather, bringing the excellence of Italian design and craftsmanship to the events’ venues.
Finally, Fondazione Caritro renews its commitment to raising awareness among new generations on financial education through hands-on workshops and inspirational talks, while also introducing a dedicated focus on gender equality in the workplace.
Festival and Fuori Festival are organised for the fifth consecutive year by Il Sole 24 ORE Group and Trentino Marketing, on behalf of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in collaboration with the Municipality and the University of Trento.
